The Anamorphic Lens And Your HD Projector

If you are a serious movie buff then in all likelihood you have considered setting up your own home cinema.  Perhaps in your attic, or perhaps in your basement. You will of course need an HD projector which provides you with the best quality picture you can get.  Plus an HD screen and a really good surround system which will replicate as far as possible the sort of sound you experience in the cinema.

But the only other thing you might not yet have considered but you really should is whether you get an anamorphic lens to fit on your HD projector.  This lens is able to project a genuine widescreen image and the quality of picture you will achieve is well worth the additional cost.

Having spent all that money on your HD projector why not go that small extra step and make the image truly superb.

Coffee Table Books

In one episode of the hit 1990’s television show Seinfeld the character Cosmo Kramer played by Micheal Richards embarks on a small business venture. He writes and publishes a book all about coffee tables and the gimmick, which he advertises with a lot of excitement, is that the book can actually become a coffee table. The simple pun in this Seinfeld episode is satirizing the long standing concept of the coffee table book.

Coffee tables are those low standing tables that sit comfortably in front of the sofa. You can put your feet on them and they are great for holding food and drinks while you’re relaxing comfortably on the couch to entertain friends or watch some television. Coffee tables have been around forever but the coffee table book, at least the modern coffee table book, came out in the 1960’s. An author and nature photographer decided to write a book with nature photos and he made it a giant sized hard cover book. It became the original coffee table book.

Traded Players Changing Hockey Jerseys

The world of national sports is sometimes a lot more about the business than it is about the game. The National Hockey League is no different and as the NHL draft of 2009 finishes it becomes even more apparent. College hockey players are dawning new hockey jerseys as they join the ranks of their idols and get ready to play their first season while hardened veterans move from one team to the other.

When a player changes his hockey jersey he isn’t just changing teams. Players often times will have to uproot their entire families and move half way across the United States or up into Canada to play for their new almamater. Wayne Gretzky, the great one himself, had to move out of his hometown and into the heat when he was controversially traded from the Edmonton Oilers to the Los Angeles Kings.

Misting Systems: Cost and Maintenance

For all that they provide in terms of comfort and entertainment enhancement, the cost is quite minimal.  If you consider investing in a misting system, you will not be disappointed.  Having said that, there are some cost issues to consider with all home improvement projects.  The budget you should expect with a patio mist system of an average size is in the ball park of several hundred dollars.  More elaborate, larger or intricate systems could be into the thousands.  Also, if you plan on implementing a pump to maximize your misting systems function, you should expect to spend about $250 to $500 more.

As far as maintaining your system goes, it is pretty straight forward.  Like most mechanical items, if you get the pump you’ll need to maintain the motor.  This would mean routine oil adding and making sure that no debris is in the motor housing, etc.  For the lines and rest of the system, the maintenance and up keep is minimal.  You will want to keep your mist nozzles clean and free from hard water or mineral deposits.  You can also get replacement nozzles if yours get too clogged or corroded.  If you live in a climate where freezing is an issue, making sure to drain your lines would be critical to avoid them freezing and failing.

Children’s Travel Pillow

If you are a parent, you know that one of the hardest things to watch your child do is fall asleep in their car seat.  Sure, they look absolutely precious back there, so peaceful and innocent.  The only problem is their neck is so strained and pulled by their heads being flopped to one side or handing forward.  The seat provides safety, but it doesn’t provide much comfort if your baby falls asleep.

This is a good case for getting a travel pillow for a child.  These pillows can either be rolls that fit around your child’s head and are sort of like wedges or a long coil that simple keeps their head in place or actually cradle their head and neck.  The latter style is shaped like a “U” or horseshoe and is just like the ones made for adults.  You’ve likely seen these in airport gift shops or in flight magazines.  They are a great option that can keep your little one safe and comfortable in their seat as they sleep.

Store Gold Bullion At Home

Once you buy gold bullion coins, you now need to store them somewhere. It’s not advisable to store large amounts of gold bullion in your home. Most people do not realize just how easily their houses can be broken into and robbed. However, many will still decide to store at least part of their gold investment at home so that it is available with a moments notice. How could you do this? Buried treasure is always a good way to go, provided you can dig up your garden and not let your neighbors see… or think you are a serial killer…

You could also buy a safe for your home to put your gold into. Make sure though that you invest in a truly safe safe. Most home safes are not exactly secure, and they do not offer a good level of fire protection. This is quite important since gold melts at a relatively low temperature. Two holes drilled into your safe and a magnesium burn strip will do the trick nicely and you will be left scraping up a small puddle of melted gold coins. A safe is no good for storing gold bullion if it can be broken into with a crowbar, drill, and power saw.

We all know how hard it can be to get credit at the best of times if you have a bad credit rating but things seem to be getting even harder these days as the credit crunch continues to tighten its grip. This has lead many people to turn to such products as payday loans and log book loans to try and fill the gap when they run out of cash halfway through the month.

Although these cash loans have their critics they definitely serve their purpose for people who have no other choice in an emergency. They offer quick cash and are available to just about anyone with money problems so if you have nowhere else to turn they may be worth pursuing, just make sure that you have a plan to get your debts paid back on time to avoid any extra charges.
