How to Get a TEFL Certificate

So you want to teach English overseas and have decided to get a TEFL certificate. Good for you. Having a TEFL certificate will greatly help you secure job positions and feel more comfortable in the classroom. There are different TEFL certifications to choose from and many different places to get your certification from. Through the TEFL certification process you will be able to hone your teaching skills and learn new methods of teaching ESL.

TEFL courses are offered in virtually every country in the world. On top of that, you have the option of earning it from home. You can take TEFL courses online. Some are offered completely online, and some are a combination of online and classroom learning. You have the option of earning your certification in your hometown, or of getting it while you travel.

Teaching English overseas is a rewarding way to spend your time in an exciting new country. However, teaching is a job, and you want to be properly prepared for it. I would recommend taking a course that offers some practicum along with the theory, so that you will feel more comfortable when you begin teaching. Especially if you have no teaching experience, this will give you the experience of leading a classroom and running lesson plans.

The beginning step of your training should be to acquire a TEFL certificate. This is the widely known and accepted certification for beginners to allow them to teach overseas. If you have taught overseas for a minimum of two years, and already have your certificate, you can then get a TEFL diploma. Getting a diploma will further improve your accreditations and will show that you are experienced and knowledgeable. TEFL degrees are available to give you even further qualifications. This is an even higher academic level of certification and will now allow you to specialize in different areas of teaching.

Scary Tarot Cards explanation The Hanged Man XII

What a weird looking scary card XII this is. Tarot cards are always beautifully detailed and colored and this one is no exception as he wears a multi colored tunic. But the hanged man is upside down, he is hanging from his feet, which are in the noose. Does this matter? Should he be hung from the neck? If so, would the smile remain? All is not what it seems either as the man is clearly smiling and not in the least perturbed about his predicament. The card never conveys illness but instead hovers between uncertainty and positivity. The card when reversed is just as confusing because it can mean exactly the same either way up. The smile, just like the enigmatic Mona Lisa smile is what makes it difficult to interpret this card whichever way up it is dealt. In summary this card represents sacrifice and just reward, revealing a snapshot of life but best interpreted by looking at the cards dealt alongside the hanged man. The card is associated with Neptune, all dreams and mysticism.

Treatment For Mild Angular Cheilitis

If you or your child or teenager has a developed a mild Angular Cheilitis case, one that hasn’t yet developed into the characteristic painful and horrid-looking cracked mouth corners with accompanying swelling, redness, bleeding, and crusty recurring scabs, then you can try a couple of simple common sense methods for ending the bout.

1. For the milder cases in children and teenagers with chapped lips and mouth corner cracks, encourage them to refrain from licking their lips.

Lip licking in children and teens can become an unconscious habit that is hard to break. The continuous lip licking sometimes brings on the onset of Angular Cheilitis especially during the cold winter months when the kids are outdoors.

2. Apply protective paraffin-based ointments like petroleum jelly and lip balms to the lips and especially the mouth corners. This is normally very effective for treating the less serious cases of chapped lips and split mouth corners.

The Online LVN Program

The Licensed Vocational Nurse qualification which is also referred to in short as the LVN qualification is very similar to the LPN qualification.  The only real difference between the two acronyms is the fact that the LVN is the nursing equivalent to the LPN but in the states of California and Texas.  The reason for this difference in terminology is unknown and probably unnecessary but has its root in history.

If you wish to study for the LVN qualification then you could do worse than select an online LVN program as this would be easy and flexible, it would allow you to study whilst at home and so able to manage you house at the same time if this is necessary, and you can also study when it is convenient for you to do so rather than going into a classroom each day at the same time.

Different Types of Student Loans

There are many different types of student loans out there and it can be confusing to know which one you should choose. Here is a list of the different types to help you out.

Subsidized Stafford Loan
This is a need-based loan with a low interest rate. Subsidized means that the government will pay the interest while the student is in school or on a grace period.

Unsubsidized Stafford Loan
This is a non-need-based loan with a low interest rate. Unsubsidized means that the interest must be paid by the borrower. Generally, this is a loan that is best for students who can’t get other types of financial aid, or need extra money on top of other financial aids.

Federal Plus Loan
This loan is for part or full time students. It is based on credit history and tuition costs. Though the interest is low, the repayment needs to be fast, usually 2-3 months after the full loan is dished out or the student graduates.

Federal Perkins Loan
This loan is for those in an extreme financial situation. It also has a very low interest rate. However, the loan amount will likely be low due to the limited funds for this type. The part time student grace period on this loan is up to 9 months before interest is added, but be wary — late payments could hurt your credit.
