There are many options available when looking for a new cage or crate for your dog. Of course, you want the best quality but at the lowest price. There are many advantages and disadvantages to consider when selecting a cage and so it is better to be armed with some information before you start looking.

A lot of dog cages have an epoxy coating on them. When new they look great, but after a few uses may begin to chip and flake. Crates coated with epoxy resin can start looking a bit rough after a few uses. Why spend money on something that is going to look pretty rough after just a few uses?

Most are made from a heavy gauge mesh and often come with tamper-resistant locks. Moreover, no plastic bases are used in these models. Most have galvanized metal trays that do not split or crack and, more importantly, cannot be chewed by your dog.

Dog cages and crates can be an effective way for you to keep your pets safe when you are away or at home. New models are quite simple to assemble and disassemble making it easier for the pet owner to handle.
