Is a High School Student Credit Card a Good Idea?

You might feel as though the moment you hand a credit card to your son or daughter, you’re handing away your hard-earned money. While you’d be sitting around, totally oblivious, your child could be throwing all your money away at the mall, not understanding how much they’re wasting. It’s no wonder many people have these fears about their teen getting a high school student credit card.

Of course, if you’re going to take this on, it requires work on your part as well. The most important thing you must do is create strict rules and make sure your child not only understands the terms, but understands why they must be followed. Otherwise, there’s a good chance they’ll ignore or try to get past them as a part of natural teenage rebellion.
