10 Feb 2010We all have tried to lose weight at some point in our lives. Maybe you, like me have tried different diets that all promised to be “THE diet” that would free you from excess fat forever. Of course, most of them are plain useless as they are elaborated copying other diets that did not work in the first place! Of all the methods available to lose weight and have a slim body, only a handful work because they are based on principles rather than single studies or heavy use of supplements.
One of these programs that work and are based on strong facts is the 6 Week Body Makeover. Which was developed by nutritionist Michael Thurmond, who gained national fame thanks to his participation in “Extreme Makeover”, a TV show in which participants were given a total makeover in a short period of time.
This program is based on the “body blueprinting” principle, developed by Thurmond. Thanks to a series of questions, people can self-assess their body type and metabolism, two essential pieces of knowledge that will make this plan a tailored approach. Here is a big difference between these program and other programs or diets that do not take into account this important info. So while it may work for some, for other people it would be a total waste of money.
This program is hard, and well what would you expect if you want to lose weight fast? It is hard in the psychological sense, since you will need to change your whole lifestyle just like that, dropping many of the food you grew accustomed to eat. It doesn’t involve exercising to lose weight, although the package comes with elastic bands, they are provided to help you tone the body while you are losing weight with the diet. This makes sense; not because your body is slim means it will look great!
