2 Oct 2009When selecting a portable clock radio that you can take with you on short trips you want to consider a few things. One is functionality. You want your clock radio to be able to tell the time, signal an alarm and possibly play music. In regards to telling the time you want to have a face that is clearly readable. An LED display on a digital clock radio is ideal as the bright numbers are easy to see in the dark. You want the alarm to be loud enough to wake you when you need to be wakened. Options often include a buzzer of sorts and a radio option. When it comes to playing and waking to music you want to look at a few clock radios to measure the speakers. Poor speakers may not play loud enough to be effective as an alarm or as a simple radio.
